BrittanY Deweese

BRITTANY DEWEESE is an LA based dancer, choreographer and director known for her trademark style which tip toes on the razor's edge of disturbing and arousing. She loves to flip classic tropes on their head and look at movement through a whole new light. No one can move quite like dancers, and Brittany knows how to utilize their abilities in ways that may seem impossible to actualize, but she makes it happen!

 

Born in Rochester NY, Brittany started dancing at the age of 3 and completed her BAs in both DANCE and DANCE PEDAGOGY (theory of teaching) at POINT PARK UNIVERSITY in Pittsburgh, where she went on to teach at both the UNIVERSITY and MILLENNIUM DANCE COMPLEX.

 

Brittany has since become a Californian, and her work can be found all over Los Angeles! She has found her home at Zombie Joe’s Underground where you can catch her smash hit show CABARET MACABRE which is overflowing with all the sex, gore, thrills and CHILLS! Her work is also featured regularly in THE TOLEDO SHOW and CIRCUS OF SIN at the notorious jazz club HARVELLE’S in Santa Monica and Long Beach.

Brittany also works closely with film composer JOHN MASSARI bringing her killer choreography to the live scorings of the beloved cult classic 80s horror film KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE. Brittany most recently worked with the bands BLACK VEIL BRIDES and VILLE VALO on choreography for their newly released music video "TEMPLE OF LOVE".    

 

Brittany has worked closely with many artists and designed unique works both for stage and film. She is constantly looking to expand, push boundaries, and find ways to step outside of the box (or inside of the box?)!
